YASMIN MENSTRUAL CLOTTING
It is alleged that Yaz birth control pills can cause menstrual clotting and this can create panic because it is a very serious situation that needs medical attention. If you’re not aware of what menstrual clotting is, it is a situation in which blood pools in the woman’s uterus. It is true that clotting can be the body’s natural way to control bleeding, but these clots can also be reason for a woman to see her doctor as soon as she can.
Of the over 30 lawsuits pending against the makers of Yaz, the Bayer Corporation, the Yaz menstrual clotting lawsuit is amongst the mix. There are a number of conditions that have resulted from Yaz side effects. These include heart attack, stroke, bladder conditions, liver problems, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and even sudden death.
When it comes to Yaz and menstrual clotting, it is due to a heavy menstrual period. It has been shown that Yaz can cause a heavy menstrual period, rather than reduce flow like most birth control pills do for some women. When menstrual clotting is an issue, there is more bleeding than usual. The body of a woman is designed to release its own anticoagulant to keep clotting from occurring within the uterus.

YASMIN SIDE EFFECTS LAWSUIT
A woman who experiences menstrual clotting will have one or more of the following symptoms:
- Bleeding in between periods
- Lightheadedness
- Fatigue
- Anemia
- The beds of the fingernails are not pink, but they are pale
- Pale skin
If a doctor finds that a woman has menstrual clotting, he or she will perform one or more of the following tests in order to identify the cause of the clotting:
- Blood work that looks for anemia and checks to see if the right clotting agents are in the blood.
- A biopsy that consists of taking a small amount of tissue from the uterine lining.
- An MRI that looks for fibroids or other growths.
- A vaginal ultrasound that consists of taking an ultrasound image of the vagina and uterus.
These tests will help the doctor determine if Yaz is the cause of your menstrual clotting. If so, you may have a Yaz menstrual clotting lawsuit on your hands in order to compensate for any complications that you have encountered. As you can see, the testing alone can be quite daunting and isn’t always comfortable. If the condition goes undiagnosed, then more severe complications, such as even more bleeding, can occur and cause a life threatening situation.
Despite such cases as Yaz menstrual clotting lawsuits and other lawsuits surrounding Yaz, the birth control pill continues to be sold on the market. Many women do not experience any side effects, but the number of women who are is growing as the contraceptive is becoming more and more popular. Until the Food and Drug Administration issues a recall, if they recall, doctors will still prescribe Yaz as women ask that it be their chosen oral contraceptive.
